Reading Advantage - Fountas and Pinnell
This session focuses on implementing the Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) program using Fountas and Pinnell’s Benchmark Assessment System (BAS). Participants will learn how to assess students' reading levels, analyze data, and group students for targeted small group instruction. The training emphasizes strategies for improving literacy skills through phonics, fluency, comprehension, and writing, with the goal of moving students to grade-level performance in a short time.

The Special Populations Department's English Learner Division adopted the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) Model for supporting our English learners (ELs) during the school year. The SIOP Model is a research-based and validated instructional model that has proven effective in addressing the academic needs of ELs throughout the United States.
